Position Summary
The Project Management – BAL Production plays a critical role in driving operational excellence across all BAL production initiatives. This role is responsible for managing timelines, coordinating across departments, and ensuring structured execution of production-related deliverables. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
Major Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Timeline Management
- Develop and maintain master production timelines for all BAL events and initiatives.
- Ensure all departments (Broadcast, Events, Marketing, Partnerships, Basketball Operations, etc.) are aligned with key milestones and deliverables.
- Track progress against timelines and proactively flag risks or delays.
Cross Departmental Collaboration
- Facilitate weekly production syncs and cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Serve as the central liaison between internal teams and external vendors for production-related planning.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable plans across departments.
Operational & Process Management
- Implement and enforce standardized workflows, documentation, and reporting structures.
- Maintain detailed project trackers, dashboards, and status reports for internal visibility.
- Support the development and refinement of production SOPs and playbooks.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare regular updates for senior leadership on production status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication between all stakeholders.
- Document lessons learned and contributed to continuous improvement efforts.
Resource & Budget Coordination
- Support budget tracking and resource allocation across production projects.
- Coordinate with Finance and Procurement teams to ensure timely contracts and payments.
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to synthesize information and drive decisions.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com).
- Fluent in English and French; other languages a plus.
- Passion for African sports and live event production.
- Ability to foster collaboration and accountability across diverse teams.
- Calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure.
Experience Needed
- 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, operations, or production coordination, preferably in sports, entertainment, or media.
- Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with precision and clarity.
Educational Background Required
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in project management Media Production, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Salary Range:
XOF 37,000,000 – 45,000,000
