Nature Recovery Award Grant to support Wildlife Habitat Expansion and Improvement (UK)

Nature Recovery Award Grant to support Wildlife Habitat Expansion and Improvement (UK)

Deadline: 30 November 2025

The Nature Recovery Award under the Wilder Horsham District initiative provides funding to landowners and community groups aiming to implement practical projects that enhance and expand networks for wildlife across the Horsham District landscape.

The focus of this award is on the contribution to the creation and improvement of habitats, contribution to improving habitat connectivity, value for money such as match-funding, and the informed design and management of the works.

Applications for the Nature Recovery Award will be judged by a professional panel and awarded quarterly, with successful applicants receiving up to £5000. The initiative seeks to encourage projects that directly support wildlife by expanding and improving the natural habitats across the district.

Only projects that improve habitats for wildlife are eligible for this award, while amenities for people, education projects, or survey work fall outside its remit. Applicants are required to clearly demonstrate in their proposal how their project will contribute to building a Nature Recovery Network throughout the Horsham District.

Through this scheme, Wilder Horsham District continues its mission to create thriving ecosystems by supporting targeted habitat restoration and connectivity projects that foster biodiversity and ecological resilience.
