National Basketball Association (NBA) recruits 01 Future Pro – Travel & Hospitality
Position Summary
The Future Pro – Travel & Hospitality will support NBA Africa and BAL operations by assisting with travel logistics, guest services, and hospitality coordination. This role offers hands-on experience in managing stakeholder travel, accommodation, and event-related needs. Working closely with internal leads and external partners, the candidate will help ensure smooth planning, clear communication, and a positive experience for all traveling parties throughout the season.
Major Responsibilities
Travel & Logistics Coordination
- Assist with pre-season planning and internal communications to ensure readiness across departments
- Support onboarding of new staff, freelancers, and vendors, ensuring efficient travel setup
- Coordinate flight bookings with the BAL Travel Agency and travel partners
- Facilitate visa applications and documentation in collaboration with internal teams
Hospitality & Guest Services
- Assist with accommodation and food & beverage arrangements under the guidance of the Travel & Hospitality Lead
- Support ground transportation logistics in coordination with the Transportation Lead
- Collaborate with the Guest Management Lead to enhance guest experience planning and execution
- Contribute to timely and accurate communications with traveling parties before and during the season
Event Support
- Help organize special events for stakeholders while in-market, supporting planning and execution
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Fluent in English and French; additional African languages are a plus
- Proficient in project management and Excel
- Strong communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented
- Able to manage stress and adapt in dynamic environments
Experience Needed
- 3–5 years of experience managing multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines
- Exposure to travel, hospitality, tourism, or project management-related fields
- Experience in the sports events industry is preferred
Educational Background Required
Bachelor’s degree in travel, hospitality, tourism, or project management -related fields
