About the Women’s Outreach Lead Role
The Women’s Outreach Lead position is a new role at myAgro and is key to supporting the organization’s north star via outreach methods to female farmers. This role is critical to ensure we reach more women farmers and provide them with the highest quality services possible. We believe that a focus on nutrition is a successful way to work and engage with women farmers. Therefore, aiming to have women farmers adopt nutritious crops and practices will be key to this role. This means:
1. You are able to lead and train qualitative research teams. You will lead behaviour change field work to understand the barriers and motivators women farmers are facing. You will execute deep dive interviews and/or focus groups to listen to the customer and our field teams, with a gender/nutrition lens. You are skilled in executing research yourself, and can effectively transfer these skills to a research team that you train.
2. You are an effective collaborator and communicator. While this position is part of the agriculture team you will be constantly working with other teams in order to imbed women outreach strategies into their daily work. Your toolbox contains tactics to communicate and collaborate effectively and continuously with these teams.
3. You have experience with marketing for social behaviour change. For example, you might be asked to promote sorghum to farmers by developing a marketing campaign based on a healthy and nutritious children’s breakfast. You know how to work with the content creators to make sure marketing tools align with the strategy and tactics you want to implement for this.
4. You are experienced creating M&E systems to measure success with a gender/nutrition perspective, preferably with internationally recognized standards like dietary diversity or food security scores. You have the data analytics skills to summarize the findings and the capacity to communicate the successes in a compelling way internally and externally.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Research gender/nutrition research
• Set research hypotheses and develop qualitative research plans.
• Execute and lead deep dive interviews and focus groups with farmers and their households.
• Implement household surveys either in person or through the call center.
• Train a team on executing training and research with you.
Design and implement gender and nutrition transformative programming
• Develop marketing campaigns for women farmers.
• Launch social behaviour change campaigns through mass media such as radio, SMS, and IVR
• Write the curriculum for nutrition training to train field staff and farmers.
• Develop internal communication strategies to celebrate staff and farmer champions using Whatsapp, video, testimonials, …
Monitoring and evaluation
• Implement standardized gender and nutrition indicators.
• Create or adapt training resources to train the M&E team on how to collect these indicators.
• Help external reporting on the results of the gender and nutrition programs by presenting at conferences, donor events, and other functions as needed.
Is this the Role for You?
You are RIGHT for this role if…
• You have 5 years of prior experience in qualitative research on gender or nutrition.
• You have designed, developed, and implemented gender and/or nutrition programs for rural areas.
• You have held a position where you worked cooperatively with multiple departments.
You are NOT qualified for this job if…
• You do not have more than 2 years of project management experience.
• You have never managed a team of 5 direct reports for more than a year.
• You are not fluent in French and English.
