MODEC
We are looking for a Business Intelligence – Compensation & Benefits Analyst to work in our office based in Dakar – Senegal.

Overall Job Purpose
Responsible for developing and executing the processes of the Compensation and Benefits department, such as policies, market benchmarking and adaptation of strategies in order to provide the organization with a competitive package and benefits in the market. He/she is also responsible to generate and communicate information to support the demands and decision making.

Core Responsibilities
Respond to salary surveys, structuring Mosen’s compensation and benefits data, requested by specialized
• consultants in the area. Deeply understand the people department and bring high value results
• Update salary tables according to market research and company strategy.
• Guide and monitor the processes for defining compensation in the cases of admission, promotion and transfer of employees, observing the rules and guidelines of the job and salary policy.
• Analyze and approve / disapprove all EMFs (Employee Movement Form) requested by Managers / Business Partners, accessing their own system and checking if the request is in accordance with the job and salary policy.
• Revise, when necessary and on demand, the company’s job and salary structure, analyzing whether there is a need to create new jobs and to review job descriptions.
• Update annually the table and the criteria for the awarding of merit and promotion, by reviewing the practice in the previous year with the current reality of Mosen vs Market.
• Contribute to the annual budget preparation, providing information on employee benefit and compensation.
• Create and update better strategies and benefit programs offered to employees, through the identification of needs or new demands and reports from the supplier responsible for administering benefits.
• Ensure that all Relationship programs are executed in accordance with the assumptions, through direct monitoring and execution of the actions planned annually.
• Ensure that all existing positions at Mosen have their respective job description, through periodic payroll checks x Existing Descriptions.
• Improve data collection models and ensure performance of dataset.
• Develop properly document procedures regarding data collection, validation and analysis.
• Assist on strategic projects of the department
• Ensure the security and reliability of people department data in compliance to the local regulation and company policies

Work Relationships
As per indication on the Organizational Chart, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Job Challenges and Problem Solving
Compliance with internal procedures, rules provided for in a collective agreement and monitoring of constant changes in labor legislation in order to avoid labor liabilities.

Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification
Master’s degree in HR Management/ Administration, in Business Intelligence or in a related field strongly preferred.

Relevant Experience
5-8 years’ experience in HR Management and Compensation & Benefits administration applying a knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management.

Languages
Fluent English as mandatory. French and local languages are preferable.

Software
Microsoft Office is mandatory.
