Our client is one of India’s leading conglomerates in the chemicals space. They’ve recently acquired a mining company in Senegal as part of their back ward integration plans. They cater to a wide range of customers and have a strong marketing hold in India to support their clients. Their turnover is close to INR 400 billion. They are looking for a head of mining operations based out of Senegal.
Job Description
Reporting to the Executive VP and Head Manufacturing, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing Mining operations to ensure business plan targets for production and supply to manufacturing plants are achieved
- Owning Financial Budgeting, Production, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Local Regulation Compliance, Capex projects, CSR projects and Reviewing Performance of Mining operations periodically
- Working with Management to provide inputs on CSR Projects, Recruitment, Expansion Plants and Annual Budgets
- Engaging with various stakeholders- internal and external such as Plant Heads, Commercial, Finance, Equipment vendors, Consultants
- Managing Administration, Logistics, Environment, HR, Finance, and other functional Managers to deliver efficiently on the Business Plans
The Successful Applicant
- Ideally you are an Engineer, with Master’s degree from a Premium institute with 15-20 years of experience in Mining Operations.
- You have strong Leadership, Communication, Management and Problem-solving skills. You have strong technical skills including Geological modelling, Mine Planning, Scheduling, Excavation, Haulage, Ore processing and others. You have an excellent track record and are open to new challenges
