This is a volunteer role onboard the Africa Mercy, a hospital ship, currently serving in Dakar, Senegal.
Summary: Responsible to carry out repair and maintenance on the various shipboard plumbing systems.

Mercy Ships recruits 01 Plumber (Volunteer), Dakar, Senegal.
A ship has a complicated system of shipboard plumbing system. Ours is no different. The plumbers work with the Engineering team to see that those systems work properly and provide maintenance when needed.
The Plumber volunteer position, part of the Engineering Department, will be located on the Africa Mercy, the world’s largest non-governmental hospital ship. The preferred minimum time commitment for this role is twelve months, however shorter commitments will also be considered.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of Security Awareness according to STCW A-VI/6-1
- Successful completion of Basic Training in accordance with STCW A-VI/1-1 to 1-4 (if joining for 6+ months)
- Previous plumbing experience preferred
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate in clear English
