Description de l’offre Maintenance Coordinator Job in Dakar – Senegal Posted by Mercy Ships Job specializations: • Maintenance/Cleaning Air Conditioning, Building Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Facility Maintenance, Appliance Repair Job Description & How to Apply Below The Maintenance Coordinator facilitates the maintenance of all facilities, tools, and equipment located off the ship minus medical equipment. This includes, but is not limited to the HOPE Center, the Capacity Building Support Programs team facility, the off ship Dental and Eye sites, Patient Assembly area and the dockside tents. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: -Oversee and conduct repairs and/or maintenance or coordinates with the Marine Technical staff or local contractors to do repairs and/or maintenance to the facilities as needed. -Maintains and manages a work flow system in order to document the preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary -Maintain proper maintenance tools and equipment to conduct repairs. -Coordinate repairs of tools and equipment when needed. -Manages the Assistant Maintenance Coordinator. -Prepare requests to obtain cash advances and provides receipts for financial reconciliation. -Participate in project proposals submission for support facilities with the program teams. Due to the ever changing staffing levels and field service rotations, all staff may be re-assigned to temporarily fill roles in other departments in a time of need. -Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Tech School, 1 to 2 Years work experience The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: -Supportive of Mercy Ships mission and vision, and committed to its core values. -Understand servant leadership, work collaboratively with integrity and demonstrate accountability. -Able to live in and contribute to community life, requiring stable and healthy interpersonal skills. -Must have a knowledge and grasp of proper maintenance concepts to include Plumbing, Carpentry and Electrician skill sets. -Must have some mechanical aptitude and ability to make basic repairs on a variety of tools, equipment and facilities. -Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. -Full, clean driving license preferred with an international driving permit. Will be expected to drive as part of departmental responsibilities. -Able to adapt to a changing environment including locations, length of stay in country, and configuration of facilities. This field service location is land based with above normal’ climate, physical, and emotional stress factors. -Conversant in French is a plus.
