Managing Authority launches ESF Call IV (Malta)

The Managing Authority (MA) for Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 in Malta, the Planning and Priorities Co-ordination Division (PPCD) within the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA) has launched its ESF Call IV.

This call will contribute to the priority axis and investment priorities listed below:
Priority Axis 2 – ‘Towards a more inclusive society’
Investment priority (IP) 9i – Active inclusion, including with a view to promoting equal opportunities and active participation, and improving employability. This call is restricted for activities proposed by Voluntary Organisations and Social partners.
Priority Axis 4 – ‘Building the Institutional Administrative Capacity’
Investment priority (IP) 11ii – Capacity building for all stakeholders delivering education, lifelong learning, training and employment and social policies, including through sectoral and territorial pacts to mobilise for reform at the national, regional and local levels. This call is restricted for activities proposed by Social Partners and Civil Society Organisations.

Priority Axis 2 – ‘Towards a more inclusive society’
Moreover, the maximum grant amount for this call per project is of €100,000. In case of grant applications that exceed this, the PSC will cap the programme support, and reserves the revise the budget accordingly. In the case of projects targeting deinstitutionalisation by contributing to the relevant programme indicators, the maximum grant amount may go up to €200,000.
The project duration should be of no longer than 18 months, with possibility of extension during implementation.

Moreover, the maximum grant amount for this call per project is of €100,000. In case of grant applications that exceed this, the PSC will cap the programme support, and reserves the revise the budget accordingly.

Eligibility Criteria
For expenditure to be considered eligible needs to be contributing to the fulfilment of the project activities and commitment; moreover the project’s costs need to be in line with the national eligibility rules as well as with relevant EU Regulations, more specifically the Fund Specific Regulations, the Common Provisions Regulation and any subsequent modifications. All expenditure is also subject to verifications carried out by the Managing Authority, Audit Authority and any other stakeholders to ensure the correctness of the expenditure in line with the grant agreement, as well as the applicable rules. Such expenditure should also reflect processes which have a clear audit trail, implemented with transparency, and under sound financial management.
