We are looking for a Strategic Finance Business Partner for the 3 West-Med Terminals.As the CFO, you are responsible for Financial management of the APMT West Med terminals consisting of APMT Algeciras, APMT Tangier (TC1) and APMT Med Port (TM2).
The role includes:– Responsibility for Financial Management incl. governance, compliance and legal matters- Being a part of strategy development and execution including long term planning- Concession Agreement Management- Being a part of Projects and Expansions- Stakeholder and Business Partner Management- Continuous development of teams and engagement- IT System implementations and Change ManagementThe successful candidate must be a senior leader with strong functional expertise, strategic business partnering capabilities, an agile & positive stakeholder approach who can build highly engaged teams in two countries while demonstrating a high cultural awareness and adaptability.
We offerThe successful candidate will be part of a key APM Terminals Hub which offers real opportunities growth and in depth insights into the operation and management of modern container terminals. With this, you will gain significant exposure and experience to further build international career opportunities with the global organization of APM Terminals and Maersk as a Group.
Key responsibilities-The incumbent is responsible to drive and provide input to the terminals business strategy within the limits of the role.-The position is required to constantly improve on existing practices & procedures for a better financial & cost management for the terminal. The position has a direct impact on every area of the terminals & influences decisions in a multi-dimensional manner.-Ensure the Terminal meets local statutory requirements and are properly governed.
Finance– Translates the strategic goals into financial targets.- Develop and execute the financial strategy of the companies, ensuring that the performance management supports the best possible financial result.- Ensure optimal cash management and that the companies are risk protected.- Formulate and implement initiatives aimed at reducing cost of the Company and increasing the overall revenue and profitability.- Ensure that accounting policies and procedures are developed, documented and updated to ensure proper recording, measurement and reporting of the Companies financial transactions, asset and liabilities, etc- Advise the management on investment policies and handle the investment portfolios- Lead and co-ordinate the risk management strategy of the Terminals and make recommendations to the leadership team in the risk assessment and management process.- Ensure the companies´ assets are properly safeguarded and insured.
Legal– Responsible for the West-Med entities board of director’s general secretarial management.- Ensure the legal support for litigation, commercial, corporate, statutory, shipping and any other legal related issue in corporation with Maersk One Legal.- Overseeing the claims & insurance related activitiesBusiness development- Recognizing opportunities for increasing business performances through structural changes or new activities in collaboration with Commercial and Business Development leads.
Billing– Responsible for billing of commercial activities.- Ensuring commercial engagements supported with required documentation.
We are looking forAs CFO for the West-Med Terminals, you will be responsible for the Financial management, ensuring the right governance, compliance and legal management of the terminals are in place. Playing a key role in strengthening the relationship with our local partners and the Port Authorities; and other key stakeholders will be crucial for a achieving your mission.
With at least 15 years’ experience in finance roles including 3-5 years’ leadership experience in similar positions. Experience from Terminal business would be an advantage.
You have a Bachelor or Master Degree in finance/accounting/ MBA or related disciplines.(CPA/ACCA/ other accounting certification is an advantage)
Solid knowledge of Finance fundamentals, corporate and project financing, tax rules and tax reporting requirements, control and management of invoicing and dunning, statutory requirements and management of legal.
