Maersk Kenya is looking to hire a Area Intermodal Product Manager to join our team in Nairobi. The Area Intermodal Product Manager will be responsible to grow intermodal profitably and at high customer satisfaction within own Area

Key responsibilities
Drive area product growth
• Collect and analyze market intelligence
• Target setting for Intermodal growth
• Area Intermodal Strategy and Direction Setting
• Define growth/segmentation opportunities
• Provide input for Inland tender preparation
• Support commercial teams and provide training and coaching on intermodal products
Develop area products and pricing
• Define Local Value proposition and Differentiators for Inlands
• Develop new Inland products
• Set Inland tariffs
• Optimize Inland cargo and corridor mix
• Performance manages Intermodal in the Area
We are looking for
• Minimum BSc or Masters Degree /MBA in Marketing, Sales or Business related course
• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping/logistics industry .
• Commercial (sales/Customer Service) experience.
• Experience within the Eastern Africa Market .
• Proficient use (above average skill) in the use of Microsoft office tools i.e. excel, word and power point etc.
• Entrepreneurship
• Translates customer needs and business opportunities into solutions
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen
• Pricing capabilities
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
