L’Université de Lausanne offre des bourses post-doctorales en sciences biomédicales

Post-doctoral position in the Département de Sciences Biomédicales, Université of Lausanne, Switzerland.

Job duration : 4 years.

Date of start: 9.2022 (to be discussed).

Topic: Mechanisms of  endothelial cell injury in thrombotic microangiopathy.

The research group (led by Prof. fadi Fakhouri) is composed of a post-doctoral student and a technician. It studies the pathogenic mechanisms of thrombotic microangiopathy, a disorder characterized by the occurrence of microthrombi in the microvasculature of various organs, predominantly the kidney. Thrombotic microangiopathy is due endothelial cell damage triggered by various insults: complement activation, drugs, autoimmune disorders, infections.

The research project, funded by the “Swiss National Fund”, relies on in vitro studies and transcriptomic analysis of human samples obtained in patients with several forms of thrombotic micronagiopathy.

Requirements:

PhD since at least 3 years.

A prior experience in endothelial cell culture, molecular biology, transcriptomic analysis is desirable.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual able to work independently, and to develop research ideas.

To apply, please send: (1) a cover letter summarizing your research skills and career goals; (2) a curriculum vitae; and (3) names of three references, to Prof. Fadi Fakhouri (fadi.fakhouri@unil.ch).
