Special conditions:
– Candidates must be sponsored by at least one-member Institution of the Consortium (Burkina Faso, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo)
– A letter of support frorR the Director of the sponsoring-member Institution stating commitments.
– Any qualified national (staff or non-staff) residing in any of the countries of the member Institution of the network (see annex of the WANETAM-2 Consortium members and addresses)
– The Member Institutions can head-hunt, advertise and present candidates for short-listing and Interview

Job description:

To manage the Communication platform of the Consortium that is serving the requirement of 16 West African Partner Institution; this include
– Developing and managing the WANETAM website and collating information for input into the website that would need regular updating.
– Coordinating the basecamp web-based intercommunication link and uploading/disse-minating information to the members of the network
– Developing Newsletter for the network
– Archiving pictures and summary reports of the consortium work Engaging national media of the country of your operation and institutional communication departments of member Institutions.
Essential requirements
– At least a BSc in Communication and related fields
– Proven experience in journalism, marketing, corporate communication or related fields
– Knowledge of information systems, including web-based communication systems, In-ternet, social media
– Full command of English and excellent writing skills. Knowledge of French will be an added value
– Experience in dealing with multicultural working environment – Experience in networking abilities
– Professional computer Iiteracy
– Ability to work independently and pro-actively
– Analytical skills and ability to assimilate and process information on a wide variety of is-sues and to communicate for a wide variety of audiences.
– Ability to manage a complex workload and to plan and prioritise – Proactive in media relations
– Strong attention to details
– Project management skills (not required but will be an advantage)
– Willingness and flexibility to work flexitime

Desirable requirements

– Experience in content communication and sharing
– Experience in the organisation of international meetings – Experience in report-writing

Limited full-time contract: 3-year contract with 6 months’ probation
Schedule:

– Interviews will be held during the week starting on l2th March 2018.
