Themes

The Lambeth Community Fund will be directed towards the Renewal stream of the London Community Response Fund. The themes of this are:

Building strong communities: people are able to play an active role in their communities; and London is a more equal and inclusive city post COVID-19. Includes work to help people feel a belonging to their community, capacity building for civil society, meeting new/changed demand, and support for community hubs
New deal for young people: recognising how the coronavirus pandemic has impacted young people’s mental and physical wellbeing, their safety, potential, education and job prospects; this theme will focus on helping the most disadvantaged young people. Includes support for youth centres to sustain, mentoring, tailored support and youth advocacy.
Robust safety net: people are supported so that they can avoid or be lifted out of poverty and relieve hardship. This includes advice services and crisis support.

Amount: £50,000.
What can I apply for?

People— staffing and volunteer costs associated with delivering the work you are applying for;
Support— supervision, and support for your team, including wellbeing and specialist support that ensures the resilience of staff and volunteers;
Equipment— any equipment you need to deliver this work that is not already in your budget;
Resources— any new software or training needed for your team to do their work;
Services and access — meeting the needs of the people you work for, including food and
essentials, translation or interpreting services, or deep cleaning of accommodation;
Overheads — direct additional costs (e.g. for home working), together with a proportionate contribution to your organizational costs (including your governance costs);
Partnership — staff time, professional fees, or support needed to enable collaboration; and
Development— contributions to capacity building, infrastructure and organizational development.
Who can apply?

Constituted community groups, registered charities, charitable incorporated organizations (C10s), or community interest companies (CICs) limited by guarantee (without shares) with an annual income of £250,000 or less are all eligible to apply to the fund.
