Summary:The work schedule for this position is: Full Time 40  hours per week.
Supervisory Position: NoRelocation Expenses Reimbursed: No
DutiesCoordinates all clerical and routine administrative and computer activities required for General Services Office (GSO) operations.  Manages the official calendar for the GSO as well as maintaining leave and overtime requests, and the annual leave schedule for the entire section. Is the main sub-cashier for the GSO section which provides petty cash for small local purchases/services.   Prepares a bi-weekly Time and Attendance  (T&A) report for the GSO Office; follows up on payroll questions and leave requests.  Drafts routine letters, cables administrative announcements, and memos as directed by the GSO. Coordinates administrative support for TDY-visitors. The incumbent receives and routes all incoming mail, cables, packages, and other correspondence to the appropriate employees.  Maintains files and types correspondence as needed by the GSO and other staff members.  The GSO secretary has a limited official use security clearance to handle a wide range of incoming correspondence.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:EXPERIENCE: Four year of progressively responsible secretarial experience is required at least three years of which should have been in secretarial work in the U.S. Government agency or International organization or Corporate Entity.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to type a minimum of 20 WPM, and optimum office organization. this may be tested.
Education Requirements:Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling and received high school diploma.
Evaluations:LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) spoken and written English and French; level III in local languages (Hausa or Zarma). English may be tested
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Optional: Must have computer literacy, particularly of Word processing and excel. This may be tested.

Benefits:Agency Benefits:Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Niamey, Niger may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
