Result of Service
Provide effective support to the Disposal and Warehouse team. Provide support in data entering during write-off and disposal exercise.

Duration of Contract: 3 months
Duties and Responsibilities
Objective:
This temporary assignment is to support the disposal and disposal Warehouse team and to update data during write-off and disposal exercise.
Responsibilities:
Under the general guidance of the Chief of PMU and the direct supervision of disposal team and the disposal clerks will be assigned to perform the following tasks:
1. Carry out a physical inspection of the item(s) to be disposed
2. Arrange item to be disposed in identical categories and group
3. Arrange items in the disposal/reuse stores – a total of six disposal/reuse stores are available
4. Arrange items to be disposed by LOT for bid and to public competitive sale
5. Take items to be returned to disposal/Reuse store
6. Show the arranged LOT to the bidders
7. Assist items to be disposed out from the compound
8. Items to be issued from the reuse store to be delivered to the assign staff on time
9. Assist in write – off items from the data base
Competencies:
• Knowledge of Property Management system of tracking, serialization and coding systems.
• Ability to reconcile records from different sources and to prepare reports on a wide variety of data electronically.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver outputs within prescribed time
• Be results oriented;
• Speak and write clearly and effectively;
• Listen and correctly interpret instructions.
• Work collaboratively with others to achieve set objectives.
• Take ownership of all responsibilities and commitments;
• Operate in compliance with organizational rules and regulations
Qualifications/special skills
Academic Qualifications: High school diploma, micro-soft applications i.e. excel application and data manages required. Additional IT education, strong data entry and data management experience is an asset.
Experience: At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the field of Supply Chain Management, business administration/ accounting or IT is required. Experience in Inventory and warehouse is an advantage.
Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Excellent English writing ability is a must. Knowledge of French or another official United Nations language is an advantage.
