Role description The purpose of this role is the responsibility for the day to day management of the project activities from inception to conclusion. Deliverables Direction Responsible to support the day to day management of the actual project throughout the project lifecycle in conjunction with PM Exec/ PM Manager Efficiency, quality & productivity To deliver on the project tasks and activities, ensuring effective management and delivery of projects according to the quality standards and best practices Project management Responsible for the accomplishment and completion of the project tasks as per the timeline, adhering to quality standards and best practices • Conduct data runs to ensure data quality and integrity, including data checks, for sign-off by PM Manager • React to project adjustments promptly and efficiently • Ensure implementation of project schedules and processes • Assist in the collation of the project costs • Liaise with suppliers and effectively communicate project needs in support of the PM Exec • Collate the timelines based on project discussions by PM Exec with CS and process for sign-off with PM Exec • Escalation to the Senior PM on all issues for a timely resolution • Attend the kick off meeting when required • Send questionnaire, sample, adverts, videos and/or any other electronic prompt material to Scripter • Final sample to Data Validation team • Follow-up with Scripter to ensure script will be ready for pilots • Coordinate and execute translations and suppliers • Escalate any queries or feedback from Field to the Senior PM • Delivery of all final data to analyst teams or suppliers • Attend the debrief/ wrap up meeting, assisting the setting of the agenda, and collate information re challenges, learnings, highlights, and so forth. • Daily updated to the Ops Manager / Senior PM or relevant stakeholders on project achievement/issues. • Weekly updated to the Ops Manager / Senior PM on supplier payment • Monthly updated to the Ops Manager / Senior PM Costs & proposals • Competent user of the costing system • Participate in project proposals and the collation of costs • Support with providing sound research recommendations, apply appropriate research methodology Communication & relationships • Communicating timely information to Ops Manager /Senior PM regarding deadlines or problems on tasks / projects • Daily project-related communication with OPS and Suppliers • Circulate necessary status reports to relevant stakeholders Basic HR functions Escalate resource issues to PI Manager/ PM Manager Training Proactively responsible for own learning and development Role requirements • Tertiary education, preferably a degree (B.Com/ Business Administration/ Project Management/ Post Graduate qualification) • Working knowledge of MS Office • Recent graduate – 3 years’ working experience and relevant project management • Must have a sound knowledge of the research process and marketing research and previous research experience a distinct advantage Behavioral dimensions • Solution driven • Developed inter-personal skills • Good negotiating and conflict resolution skills • Innovative • Deadline, quality and detail orientated • Ability to manage and motivate people • Lead by example • Maintain personal well-being and balance for self and team At Kantar we have an integrated way of rewarding our people based around a simple, clear and consistent set of principles.
