| ContextUkraine is facing a humanitarian crisis that continues to develop every day. As hostilities escalate, a growing number of people is being displaced every day within Ukraine and across international borders, with more than 3 million having fled the country.With the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and neighboring countries deteriorating rapidly, the International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement has activated all its emergency response mechanisms. Together ICRC, IFRC and National Societies are undertaking a rapid and coordinated response. | |
| The PositionUnder the supervision of the Head of zone at HQ, the head of delegation will be in charge of:A- Representationrepresent the FRC to the Ukrainian Red Crossrepresent the FRC to other components of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in-country and at regional level when requested or neededrepresent the FRC to local authorities and other humanitarian actors if requested and agreed with National Societyrepresent the FRC to donors and other stakeholdersB- Strategypursue and reinforce the positive working partnership within the RCRC Movement: pursue and develop the positive working partnerships with Partner National Societies (PNS), the ICRC and the IFRC present in countrydevelop and increase the partnership with the Ukrainian Red Crossidentify potential partnerships that could be established in the countryelaborate project proposals in accordance with the strategy developed by the Ukrainian Red Cross and in coordination with other RC partners | |
| Candidate profileEducational background, experiences required, competencies and skills:graduate or post-graduate degree in relevant fieldstrong work experience in a similar positionprevious experience with the RCRC Movement compulsorystrong communication, analysis and reporting skillsmanagement qualitiessubstantial experience of strategic thinking, including identifying, analyzing, problem solving and responding to opportunities and challenges and the ability to translate these into practical plans of actionextensive knowledge and experience of project planning and budget holding, proposal and report writingadvanced proficiency in English mandatory (oral and written)Ukrainian would be a strong assetstrong interpersonal and intercultural skillsflexible and proactivepatienceautonomous and team-worker | |
