This 3-year demonstration project aims to:
Study how primary care settings can best screen and provide care to children impacted by ACEs, including strengths, limitations, and implementation challenges.
Produce a scalable model that can help pediatric providers effectively integrate screening with strength-based, trauma-informed care and services in primary care settings.

Type of Application and Award Type(s) of applications sought:
HRSA will provide funding in the form of a cooperative agreement. A cooperative agreement is a financial assistance mechanism where HRSA anticipates substantial involvement with the recipient during performance of the contemplated project.
HRSA estimates approximately $980,000 to be available annually to fund one recipient. Applicant may apply for a ceiling amount of up to $980,000 total cost (includes both direct and indirect, facilities and administrative costs) per year.
The period of performance is September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2024 (3 years).
Funding beyond the first year is subject to the availability of appropriated funds for the Screening for Adverse Childhood Experiences in Primary Care Settings program in subsequent fiscal years, satisfactory recipient performance, and a decision that continued funding is in the best interest of the Federal Government.
