CONTEXTE DE TRAVAIL :HI is currently implementing several inclusive technical support programmes in consortium with others partners in Tete and Cabo Delgado, also with regional project at education field, supporting to ensure mainstreaming of disability inclusion across the activities in emergency in particular to reach more vulnerable persons and their families such as people with disabilities (including support to people with probably mental health problems or in need of psychosocial support ), people with chronic diseases, older persons and displaced persons and families.
Currently several projects were submitted to donors with focus in Cabo Delgado in consortium with other partners with various components but also focusing on the most vulnerable people in Cabo Delgado from host communities, those internally displaced and returnees and migrants, affected and with distress or with mental health disorders/psychosocial issues and disabilities to regain or to preserve good mental health by accessing quality interventions at community level, primary health care level, and secondary.Humanity and inclusion Mozambique is on its end implementation of country programme Strategy: 2021-2023 Emergency, and development sectors coexist in Mozambique, creating a diverse, and dynamic working environment, where coordination is operated mainly through working groups and clusters. Consortium and pool funds are frequent. Intense networking is essential for successful fundraising and efficient implementation.
DESCRIPTION DE POSTE :The technical officer in Cabo Delgado will contribute to the implementation of the Cabo Delgado operational Strategy He/She will ensure optimal quality and impact of the projects, working especially1/on capacity building of HI staff and identified community members in supporting access to rehabilitation services in the community (adults and children) ; 2/capacity building of rehabilitation professionals and improvement of rehabilitation services of Districts/Province; 3/direct follow-up on beneficiaries in need of rehabilitation services; and 4/carrying out an internal capitalization and associated recommendations on actions implemented.
The main objective of the position is to support operational deployment of HI’s emergency response in Cabo Delgado. HI has already established presence through various projects and setup a base, and is currently looking into expanding its operations in the area of functional rehabilitation care.Reporting to the Project Manager, the Technical Officer contributes to the implementation of Humanity & Inclusion’s mandate and 10-year strategy in his or her home country. He/she contributes to the implementation of projects by providing technical expertise and ensuring that the quality and impact of the project(s) concerned is optimised. He works closely with the programme’s technical team.Responsibility 1 : You provide guidance and technical support to projects in accordance with the overall technical frameworks and standardsResponsibility 2 : You provide technical learning from projectsResponsibility 3 : You contribute to the animation of the rehabilitation sectorResponsibility 4 : You contribute to ensuring HI’s technical influence within your perimeter
PROFIL ATTENDU :• You hold a degree in physiotherapy
• You have at least 2 years of experience in rehabilitation in low to middle-income countries in emergency or chronic crisis contexts• You show project management skills• You master design and management of training for rehabilitation and health professionals• You show experience in community-based rehabilitation support• You are reactive, empathic and resilient to stress and uncertainty• You are fluent in English & Portuguese
LANGUE(S) DE TRAVAIL :
SPECIFICITES/PARTICULARITES DU POSTE :Cabo Delgado province has been affected by conflict since 2017, generating forced displacement across districts. Pemba city itself enjoys relative quiet and stability, acting as a humanitarian hub for the emergency response across the province, with presence of various humanitarian international agencies. Living conditions are comfortable, with possibility to (depending on evolution of Covid restrictions) access restaurants, supermarkets and beaches.
