Job challenges
- Contribute to the recovery of end-of-life vehicles by extracting hazardous fluids and components (oils, fuels, batteries, refrigerants, etc.) to enable their reuse or recycling
- Protect the health of operators and preserve the environment by controlling the chemical, toxicological and physical risks associated with these operations
- Ensure safety, regulatory pollution control and compliance with environmental legislation
Missions
- Securing the ELV before any intervention (disconnecting the battery, draining, HSE instructions…).
- Removal of polluting fluids: Used oils, fuel, coolant, windshield washer fluid, refrigerant gases, etc.
- Dismantling and sorting of recoverable pollution control components (parts, metallic materials, tires, etc.) and those to be recycled
- Cleaning, storage and traceability of reused or recycled parts
- Hazardous waste management: sorting, storage and preparation for collection in accordance with regulations
- Strict adherence to HSE procedures, including those relating to electrical safety, handling of refrigerants, aerosols, filters, batteries, airbags, etc.
Job requirements
- Diploma/Certification: Vocational diploma (BT/BTS) in automotive mechanics or maintenance
- Experience required: Prior experience in the automotive sector is required.
Technical skills:
- Knowledge of automotive components (battery, airbag, brakes, etc.), pollution control processes and associated risks.
- Proficiency in hazardous waste sorting and parts cleaning techniques.
- Know how to use computerized traceability tools (workshop software).
- Strict adherence to environmental regulations and HSE guidelines
Soft Skills
- Rigour, method and precision, especially for traceability and security.
