GBG recrute 01 Senior IT Professional
The West and Central Africa Office (WCAO) seeks a qualified Senior IT Professional I. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work in a dynamic, team-oriented IT environment in a world-class research institute. The successful candidate must be a team player, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and should enjoy taking on new challenges. This role will support staff globally and is located in IFPRI Dakar. Interested applicants must have work authorization to work in Senegal.
Essential Duties
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Hardware and software setup and troubleshooting
- Set up accounts and workstations
- End-user support – in office and remote locations
- Hardware and software asset inventory management
- Virtual Meeting support and training
- Network, Wi-Fi, and Internet connectivity management
- Assist with local IT procurement and vendor management.
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of IT related projects assigned by the AFR Division.
- Identify, review, and respond to security events
- Work on user cyber security awareness
- Work closely with the Desktop and Network teams in DC to response inquiries from different regions
Required Qualifications
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, plus 4 years of experience or 7 years of equivalent work experience. Professional certifications are a plus.
- Advanced understanding of personal computer hardware, Windows Environment, software, and networking
- Proven resourcefulness and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
- Written and spoken English proficiency
