Au sein de notre bureau IFAW France, composé de 9 collaborateurs et situé à Reims (51),
IFAW France participe aux différents programmes d’IFAW dans le monde. De surcroît mène des campagnes et projets spécifiques : lutte contre la criminalité faunique, Préparation et réponses aux catastrophes, Plaidoyer contre les pollutions sonores sous-marines.

Job description
The FR Junior Campaigner will implement integrated national campaigns and projects across a range of IFAW’s key program areas. He/she will work closely with team members across IFAW departments, both locally and internationally, to support IFAW’s international and programmatic strategic objectives.
In implementing IFAW’s campaigns in France, he/she will be responsible for the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of campaigns/projects both in-country and as they relate to more regional and institutional programmatic objectives, including, but not limited to international legislative and policy reform and institutional advocacy to align in-country funding to on-the-ground efforts worldwide.
The Junior Campaigner needs the ability to communicate our work to relevant audiences, including government and private donors, the public, opinion formers, politicians, and the media. He/she will be confident in developing and maintaining effective professional relationships with relevant external organizations and partner NGOs.
Under the management of the French Country Director, the Junior Campaigner will also assist the Marine Conservation Program Director in implementing a specific European campaign and coordinate with the international team to ensure delivery of project goals.
He/she must ensure clear communication with the FR Director, international Program Director and all relevant officers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist Marine Conservation Program director in implementing the coordination of a campaign at the European level and ensure the coordination of the team to ensure delivery of campaign goals.
- Implement relevant advocacy based strategies that will help change public, government and business behavior and meet campaign and project objectives.
- Contribute to planning, reporting and evaluation of IFAW work programs under the direction of the FR Director. This includes overseeing associated expenditure and budgets.
- Ensure all campaign and project activities help deliver strategies and meet targets, remain on budget and meet deadlines, with comprehensive evaluation on an ongoing basis.
- Represent IFAW in political, public, business and government meetings and act as a spokesperson for the media on relevant campaigns.
- Collaborate with Governments, agencies, communities and organizations to support wildlife conservation and animal welfare initiatives. Develop strategic relationships with key decision makers, organizations and individuals to support this work.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach when in contact with the media, politicians, representatives from government, community groups and other NGOs.
- Oversee the management of FR/EU campaign and project events, such as conferences, seminars and public launches. Contribute to their organizations.
- Work closely with other departments such as Communications, Digital Marketing and Supporter Development in the establishment of key messages and media products and act as media spokesperson when required.
- Identify external target audiences, build IFAW networks/contacts and assist in the creation of targeted campaign materials and literature to meet campaign objectives.
- Commission and manage agreed contracts and research projects.
- Supervise contractors and interns to support delivery of key work streams.
- Provide information on IFAW campaigns and projects to colleagues in other IFAW departments (e.g. Fundraising/Development, Supporter Development and other departments as required).
- Develop knowledge of, and keep abreast of relevant conservation and animal welfare issues and current relevant political and legislative movements.
- Identify fundraising opportunities.
Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested from the Country Director

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Educated to degree level or equivalent preferred. Experience in a similar position, with a strong history of successful campaign implementation will be an asset.
- Experience in campaign implementation, including scheduling and budgeting with excellent organizational skill
- Fluent in French and English.
- Excellent written, editorial and presentation skill
- Effective communication and advocacy skills, both written and verbal and an ability to persuade or influence different audiences.
- Thorough working knowledge and understanding of political process, French and EU political institutions.
- Knowledge of, experience or interest in animal welfare and conservation and environmental issues as well as a strong commitment to promoting IFAW’s work.
- Ability to think strategically and develop and implement work plans.
- Superior organizational abilities, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative whilst managing a demanding and complex workload. Must be able to function effectively and accurately on multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced atmosphere while maintaining a calm and easy-going nature.
- Solid base understanding of communications and media channels for effective campaigning.
- Ability to effectively work unsupervised and as part of a team across a variety of departments internally and internationally to achieve an effective and aligned approach to campaigning.
- Ability to communicate effectively on a local, national or international scale with confident media and/or public speaking skills in order to disseminate our message to, and ethically persuade and enthuse, key target audiences across all levels of society.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
- Competent IT and computing skills.
