ROAM is the largest classifieds group in Africa, operating across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Senegal and Nigeria. Our brands in Senegal comprise of Expat-Dakar and MaMaison.sn covering both horizontals and property businesses.
We are looking for an enthusiastic online marketer to lead our Social Media & PR channels assisting with other brands as necessary. As a community manager, you will be the face of our brand to the media and our customers, engaging both on social networks and being present at relevant networking events. We are a young team, with a fun, informal working environment where you can enjoy ample training opportunities.
The Role:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager for French Market you will be responsible for:
● Design and post content on social media channels & analyse the results to optimise performance
● Execution of additional social media experiments
● Curating social media influencer relationships
● Take on customer service responsibilities for Twitter and Facebook Ad comments (all channels if the country does not have a customer service team)
● Support the Campaigns Manager with their campaigns and find innovative ways to grow our community
● Monitor the metrics and make decisions based on data
● Manage chat app subscriber lists and alerts
● Build relationships with media contacts at events, by phone, email and Twitter to ensure articles and press releases are published
About You
Required:
● Experience and passion for Social Media
● Confident communicator with excellent written skills and a keen eye for detail
● Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
Desired:
● Experience in online PR
● University degree in Marketing, Journalism or a related field
● Understanding of social media management tools
