Eramet recrute 01 Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Grande Côte Operations (GCO), a subsidiary of the Eramet group in Senegal, is active in the development, production and shipping of mineral sands, and more specifically Ilmenite, Zircon, Rutile and Leucoxene. Purpose of the position

Our Maintenance Department is looking for a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (M/F) for the Wet Concentrator Plant (WCP) for working in Diogo, Senegal.

The Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer manages the mechanical improvement project of the Wet Concentrator Plant from the identification and definition of the need to the implantation. He/She supports and develops the team in the mechanical field of expertise. He/She supports the WCP Maintenance Manager in the implantation of the WCP Reliability Master Plan. He/She substitutes the WCP Maintenance Manager during his/her Rest and Recuperation period (118 people).

Responsibilities

• To improve the safety and 6S culture
• To participate actively to define and implant the strategic and tactic GCO Maintenance vision.
• To bring a technical expertise to the WCP Maintenance Team with a focus on the WCP assets including the Dry Mining Units.
• Help to organize a double focus on Routine and Improvement.
• To manage the CAPEX/OPEX projects under his/her responsibility (scope, planning, budget
• To bring a mechanical expertise to the team and challenge the status quo
• To assist the Maintenance Management to improve the reliability master plan and to implant it
• To coordinate Improvement projects (implantation of new tools, elimination of recurrent breakdowns…)
• To realize an effective experience transfer to local GCO employees
• To support the implantation of the WCM – World Class Maintenance
• To participate or to lead Route Cause Analysis

About you 

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
• Ideally post graduate in a maintenance field (Projects, Reliability…)
• Process oriented with a strong operational discipline
• Safety oriented
• Experience of at least 10 years as a maintenance manager or significant maintenance management

• Experience in heavy industry
• Team worker and trainer profile
• Capacity of negotiations and transversal management
• Minimum fluent English spoken and written skills, French spoken and written skills will be a differential.
