Poste proposé : Process Training Supervisor

The role is designed for the STP/BIOX® Plant and purpose of the role is to:

Supervise and train nationals in the operation of the STP/BIOX® & WOL process plants, gold room, reagents handling/mixing and tailings storage facility to attain optimum production and process plant induction in a safe, environmentally friendly and cost effective manner
Provide processing guidance in the development and implementation of the Process operations safety and training programme.
The Process Training Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Shift Supervisors and Safety officers in optimising plant and staff performance through effective training and process safety management.
Development of training packages for new plant items and delivering training packages to operators, with practical and written assessments.
Develop and mentor the Process Training leading hand.
Develop new and review existing plant SWIs/SoPs, as required.

Responsabilities:

Technical/Operational

Development, implementation and management of a competency-based training program for the national process plant personnel
To optimise the gold recovery process through the application of SGO OH&S standards and procedures and effective cost management principals.
Ensure that all national staff conduct themselves in a safe manner as prescribed by company policies and procedures and fulfil their obligations to a Take 5/JSEA, SOPs/SWIs and a duty of care culture.
Participate in the skills development training and succession planning of Senegalese employees.
Maintain a culture of continuous improvement through the elimination of possible bottlenecks, systems development and review and sourcing alternative engineering solutions to benefit plant throughput and utilisation.
Improve department safety performance and standards, by implementing mobile equipment training measures to reduce the frequency of property damage incidents.
Provide assistance to other Departments across site when required or requested to ensure the productivity of the Mine is met.
Actively participate in department audits as required i.e. Annual Insurance Audit.
Increase the section number of effective SWO’s, used with current SWI’s and review current SWI’s where an improvement opportunity exists.
Assist supervisors in the timely close out of corrective actions
Provide assistance and training for Supervisors and Leading Hands to correctly complete incidents reports into sharepoint in a timely manner.

Financial

Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of training needs/gaps for nationals
Tracks all production and metallurgical KPI’s and responds to solve any KPI that is deviating from target within their defined area of responsibility
Assists with development of budgets with primary focus on training needs and training of process plant nationals
Develops training plans and implements agreed plan by effectively working with assigned resources to support the delivery of the training

Safety Management:

Demonstrate personal commitment regarding safety and environmental and Social Responsibility practices.
Ensure every person within the process well trained and is fit for work.
Ensure that agreed procedures, safeguards and controls are applied and used.
Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures
Ensure hazard management plans are observed.
Keep statutory and internal reporting as required.

Profil recherché pour le poste : Process Training Supervisor

Requirements/

Degree in Chemical/Metallurgical/Mineral Extractive Engineering or Tertiary equivalent
High School Certificate
Minimum of 8 years for degree holders, 10 years for diploma holders and 15 years for high school certificate holders with practical experience in the mining industry in gold or base metal flotation and BIOX® operations as a shift supervisor, senior shift supervisor, Plant Metallurgist, senior Plant Metallurgist, shift metallurgist or control room Metallurgist.
Minimum of 5 years as process training supervisor in the mining industry
Process operating experience in crushing, milling (SAG/Ball), gravity (KC/ILR-Gekko), froth flotation, bio-oxidation, CIL, elution/gold room, TSF desirable
Experience working in multicultural environment, preferably in West Africa.
