Poste proposé : Process Maintenance Specialist
Reporting to the Asset Manager, with a reporting line to the Process Maintenance Superintendent, the incumbent needs to take full responsibility and accountability for advisory services to the Process Plant Maintenance Superintendent. The position needs to provide the required guidance in terms of the Mechanical, Electrical and Maintenance Planning sections.
The main aim of the position is to mentor the Process Maintenance Superintendent to ensure that all Mechanical, Electrical and Maintenance Planning functions are done to a high standard while complying to set safety and legal compliance standards.
Responsabilities
- Ensure full compliance to all Processing Maintenance safety standards.
- Develop, with the assistance of the Asset Manager, a complete list of all required competencies for the position and ensure that regular feedback and task grading sessions are conducted to track progress.
- Ensure that the Process Maintenance Superintendent is fully trained to ensure efficient management in WOL and BIOX Processing Plant Operations.
- Ensure that all legal compliances are met and incorporated in the Processing Maintenance standards.
- Strong emphasis on the development of staff and tracking through a high quality and standard Skills Matrix. The aforementioned needs to be managed in conjunction with the Process Maintenance Superintendent.
- Progression of staff through quality training and development.
- Development and set up of a highly qualified and competent team.
- Ensuring that the Process Plant Maintenance Superintendent is guided to work cohesively with the greater site maintenance teams.
- Cost control and reporting against forecast and budget.
- Mentoring in the compilation of the Scope of Work for planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Work closely with the Process Plant Manager to ensure good communication.
- Mentor in the correct manner to conduct Investigations and implement corrective actions relating to Process Maintenance downtime, failures or any item that impacts on Production.
- Ensure high availability of Processing assets.
- Ensuring that all Contractors are vetted to confirm suitability and ensuring that Contractors conduct work on a site acceptable manner.
- Ensure that Capital and Operational budgets are compiled and communicated within set timelines and with the full involvement of the Process Maintenance Superintendent.
- Ensure that monthly reporting and cost reviews are accurately completed.
- Ensure that minor and major planned maintenance is budgeted, scheduled, and executed in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular VFL (Visible Felt Leadership) walkarounds in the Processing plant to identify areas of non-conformance.
- Ensure that the Process Plant is maintained to a world class standard.
- Ensure that preventative work is planned and executed in a safe manner.
- Ensure excellent housekeeping standards.
- Ensure continuous improvement in the Process Maintenance section.
Safety Management:
- Demonstrate personal commitment regarding safety and environmental and Social Responsibility practices.
- Ensure every person within the team is fit for work.
- Ensure that agreed procedures, safeguards and controls are applied and used.
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures.
- Ensure hazard management plans are observed.
- Keep statutory and internal reporting as required.
Profil recherché pour le poste : Process Maintenance Specialist
Requirements:
- Recognised Mechanical and Electrical Diploma or Degree.
- Relevant technical qualifications related to Processing Plant Maintenance.
- Project Management qualification will be advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years-experience in fixed plant, infrastructure, instrumentation, and electrical maintenance.
- Mining industry experience preferable.
- Mechanical and Electrical installation and commissioning experience related to Gold Processing Plants.
- High-level of knowledge of local competencies.
- French / English language skills preferable.
- Working experience with pack office Microsoft.
- Experience of working effectively in a senior management team environment.
