Poste proposé : Loading Coordinator – PC3000 Shovel
THE ROLE :
Reporting to the HME Senior Coordinator, the Loading Coordinator – Excavators and Loaders section – will be the first point of contact for the day-to-day management of the Loading Equipment across both Workshop and Field. The incumbent will provide interactive positive and emphatic skills to enable asset management and equipment health standards to world-class levels of performance and reliability. The role will also ensure allocated tasks are performed to the correct safety and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Allocate duties to individuals constructively, take receipt of Work Requests, provide accurate advice on timescales, procure the correct resources, and complete all relevant tasks within the stipulated timeframe ;
- Provide technical support for all Loading related matters across site ;
- Monitor team workloads, Work Requests, team holidays and sickness to ensure that work can be delivered within agreed timescales ;
- Examine damaged, defective, or inoperable equipment to determine feasibility of repair and replacement ;
- Work closely with the HME Senior Coordinator to develop and implement new procedures and processes which will enhance the performance of the department ;
- Act as first point of contact for all Loading related issues ;
- Provide supervision of any future apprentices or new employees associated with the area ;
- Manage equipment health standards through the utilization of the Computer Maintenance Management system (PRONTO) ;
- Ensure equipment tooling is inspected at controlled intervals to ensure serviceability and ensure replacements are available within the procurement system at the correct levels to limit any impact on production ;
- Take responsibility for relevant cost centres within the CMMS (PRONTO) ensuring budget, stock levels and timeframes are within SGO’s business objective ;
- Ensure that all reporting requirements are carried out on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as directed ;
- Ensure that all policies, strategies, and documentation are following best practice methodology ;
- Develop and promote compliance with the CMMS (PRONTO), SharePoint and any other system within the SGO family ;
- Demonstrate personal commitment regarding safety and environmental and Social Responsibility practices ;
- Ensure that all policies, strategies, and documentation are following with best practice outcomes ;
- Apply site safety and environmental management steps with accuracy and commitment.
Profil recherché pour le poste : Loading Coordinator – PC3000 Shovel
KEY REQUIREMENTS :
- Served a formal apprenticeship and has recognised qualifications or certification in Mechanical Technology.
- Has a minimum of 15 years’ experience maintaining Mobile and Mining equipment, Komatsu PC3000 preferable.
- Has a minimum of 10 years supervising experience preferably in Africa.
- Has a proven track record with minimum of 5 years Coordinator experience within a mining or similar environment.
- Fully conversant in English to effectively interact with employees. French will be an added advantage.
- Has a good understanding in HSE or significant relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- The role is workshop and field based and at times may involve heavy physical work which requires the candidate to be in good physical condition.
- Experienced in understanding stock levels and timeframes within the procurement cycle.
- Experienced in the running of a Loading section with more than 30 team members.
- Accomplished in multi-tasking within a high-pressured mining environment.
- Skilled in the supervision of multiple tradesmen across a diverse and large equipment fleet.
- Experienced in performing equipment diagnostics and identifying the root-cause of failures.
- Capable of compiling and writing SWI’s and SOP guidelines.
- Must be proficient in CMMS (PRONTO) would be preferable but not essential.
- Must be proficient in succession-based training and planning.
- High level of computer-based skills including use of MS Office, Outlook, Excel etc. And the ability to quickly learn bespoke software packages.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Ability to work as part of a team with excellent interpersonal skills across a culturally diverse environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, think laterally and meet deadlines.
- A natural communicator with a passion for explaining complex ideas and procedures.
- Sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of QC/QA.
