Summary: The work schedule for this position is: Full Time 48 hours per week.
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time within 4 weeks of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or his/her candidacy may end.

                             Transports passengers and/or cargo within the city limits of Niamey and surrounding area.
Duties
Basic functions of this position are to perform routine driving as directed by the OBO Project Director (PD), Construction Manager (CM), or Site Security Manager (SSM).
Safely and securely, transport official passengers and/or cargo within the city limits of Niamey and surrounding area.
Verifies and completes necessary trip ticket information and obtains information and signatures of responsible passenger(s). Completes accident reports as necessary.
Checks and verifies the assigned vehicle for proper gasoline levels, functioning equipment, lighting, and conducts visual inspection for proper tire inflation and any exterior damages before and after use of vehicle.
Maintains the cleanliness of the assigned vehicle’s interior and exterior and when necessary secures supplies and materials through proper channels.
Performs minor vehicle maintenance such as tire changes if/when necessary.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:  Two years professional experience as a driver is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Must know local/regional traffic laws and be familiar with area traffic patterns.  Must be familiar with proper motor vehicle maintenance such as how to check fluid levels, tire pressure, and general safety checks.
Education Requirements:
Completion of elementary school (CFEPD is required).
 Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:  Must speak and read Level III French and Level II English (limited knowledge). This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Must possess a valid local driver’s license, a safe driving record, and understand operation and controls of the appropriate vehicle being operated.  This may be tested.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Niamey, Niger may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
