Technical Quality Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Operations Coordinator, the TQS will ensure the services rendered by the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. The TQS coordinate the activities required to meet these quality standards.
• Work with the O&M team to set the company service standards for quality as well as for health and safety
• Manage and monitor the routine maintenance schedules for equipment and buildings
• Monitor and control consumables, materials and equipment requested by Technicians for campus and housing maintenance and repair
• Monitor and assess the quality of Campus, its maintenance and Housing repairs
• Be able to work on a flexible schedule and on weekends if needed.

Required qualifications

• A degree or higher Diploma in Business Studies/Management, Materials Science/Technology
• A post Graduate Technical qualification or a technical background is a necessity
• Relevant experience in similar position

Required skills

• Extended knowledge in plumbing. Other technical areas are a plus
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English and French. Oral fluency in Wolof desired
• Excellent Computer skills; Word and Excel including database management and record keeping.
• Have a current driving license, and can operate a standard transmission vehicle
• Leadership skills; confident, self-motivated and willing and able to voice opinions
• A team player with good organizational and interpersonal skills
