DRC recruits 01 Country Manager for Mali
Can you provide leadership to the DRC country programme, develop effective partnerships and manage a diverse team of professionals?
DRC is looking for a Country Manager in Mali to strengthen and further develop our partnership with Mali Red Cross, consortium partners and other partners from civil society, private sector and research institutions.
Experience / Training
You have a minimum of 10 years solid experience in development and humanitarian project management and experience with various donors (eg. EU/ECHO, DANIDA, DFID) particularly of their grant application, proposal writing and reporting procedures.
You have a relevant educational background. You possess excellent communication, coordination as well as networking and facilitation skills. You have good analytical skills and you can handle stressful situations. You have good cultural understanding and the ability to work in a challenging multicultural environment.
Project cycle and financial management experience as well as team/human resources management skills are essential, as well as excellent French and English speaking and writing capability. You must be self-supporting in computers and possess a valid international driving licence.
Proven experience in the capacity-building of local partners, ideally of Red Cross/Red Crescent National Societies and local branches. Regional experience in the Sahel context is an advantage.
An extensive medical check is part of your onboarding and must be accepted by our healthcare provider in order to get the job.
Salairy
The duty station is Bamako, which is a family duty station.
The ideal starting date of the assignment is estimated to 15 August 2020 and the length of the contract is 24 months with the possibility of extension.
The monthly salary including allowances and pension within the range of DKK 47.800 and DKK 51.300, depending on experience and qualifications together with furnished housing and instalment package.
The Country Manager reports to the DRC Deputy Head of Africa Region based in Dakar.
The contract will be administered in accordance with the Danish Red Cross Terms and Conditions for Delegates.
