The Australian Embassy in Lisbon invites all eligible entities to apply for funding through the Direct Aid Program (DAP) 2020-2021 for Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, and São Tomé and Príncipe.
The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a small grants program managed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that works directly with communities in developing countries. It focuses on supporting small-scale aid activities that deliver practical and tangible results.
DAP supports local community efforts towards poverty reduction and engages a wide range of partners including non-government organizations, community groups, educational institutions, health facilities, and local governments.
DAP projects cover a range of sectors such as education, health, water and sanitation, environmental protection, women’s empowerment and gender equality, supporting people with disabilities, economic livelihoods, food security, and human rights.
Funding per project is limited to €15.000.
*They encourage the submission of applications for amounts below this threshold, in order to maximise chances of success.
