Consulate General of France in Jerusalem launches Call for Projects in Support of Civil Society Initiatives

The Consulate General of France in Jerusalem has launched its annual call for proposals with the goal of promoting the initiatives of the civil society.
This call for proposals aims to support the most vulnerable populations. People living in Gaza, East Jerusalem and Area will be considered with particular attention. This will also be the case for areas near settlements and refugee camps.
Characteristics
Proposals with the following characteristics will be preferred by the Consulate General of France:
- The project must serve the needs of the population.
- Projects promoting synergies and collaboration between civil society actors will be favored.
- The project must be viable and sustainable in the long run (monitoring and evaluation system, exit strategy, etc.).
Funding Information
- The amount requested must be between 10,000 and 50,000 euros.
- The financing of the operating costs of the NGO is limited to 7% of the total budget.
- The duration of the project must be between 6 months and 1 year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only civil society organizations that are officially registered with the authorities (associations, non-governmental organizations, community organizations, networks of organizations, etc.) can submit a proposal.
- Institutional and governmental bodies are not eligible (universities, municipalities, etc.).
- The application form must be duly completed.
Selection Criteria
The projects will be selected according to the following criteria:
- The quality of the proposal (respect of the format writing, details).
- The relevance of the project and proposed activities (feasibility of the project, etc.).
- Selection of beneficiaries (number of beneficiaries, involvement in the project’s implementation, selection process and selection criteria).
- Quality and relevance of the proposed budget.
- Experience and capabilities of the partner.
- The visibility of the project.
- The sustainability of the project.
- The monitoring and evaluation procedures used during the project.
