The Nelson City Council is offering grants for community organisations and projects in Nelson.

The Community Investment Fund (CIF) was established in 2015, providing grants that contributed to Council’s social development outcomes. Council refined the CIF priorities in 2021 to reflect the LTP 2021-2031, with a greater focus on supporting vulnerable communities in Nelson.

Details
Grants will be available for community projects in Nelson that:

reduce the impacts of poverty
reduce social isolation and bring communities together,
support people who are living in substandard housing or are at risk of homelessness, and
improve general community wellbeing.
Funding Information
Grants, generally between $2000 and $5000.

Eligibility Criteria
If you are a community group operating in Nelson and have a project, then you are eligible to apply.
