Technical experts and senior managers | Sudan | 2020
Chemonics seeks short- and long-term technical experts and senior managers for anticipated civil society, democratization, peace building, and related programming in Sudan. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
We are currently accepting CVs/resumes for individuals with expertise in the following areas:
Project leadership (team leaders, chiefs of party, and deputy chiefs of party)
Civil society strengthening
Democracy and governance
Civil society and stakeholder engagement
Media and communications
Gender and youth integration
Monitoring, evaluation, and learning
Grants or subcontracts management
Operations and financial management
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred
Minimum four years of progressively responsible experience in the areas of expertise listed above and experience managing complex high-speed and challenging field operations in developing countries
Demonstrated experience working with the government of Sudan and civil society stakeholders
Experience with grants management, preferably in-kind and small grants
Experience working with USAID or similar donor on fast-paced, politically complex programming in conflict, post-conflict, or similar environments
Experience with programs that provide quick delivery of assistance in response to emerging windows of opportunity
Experience with activity design, development, and implementation
Financial management experience, including budgeting; financial management (tracking, reporting, and accounting); and procurement
Experience in Sudan and East Africa preferred
Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Fluency in English required; working proficiency in Arabic highly desired
