Early Grant Information for NGOs
Funding for research projects is granted following the rigorous review and recommendation by an independent Research Committee, comprising nominees of the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation, Flinders University, The University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia and the Women’s and Children’s Health Network.

Climate Fund to alleviate energy poverty in Developing Countries
Through its annual grant program, the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation also aims to build research capability in South Australia by:
Fostering early career researchers;
Funding ‘proof of concept’ research;
Providing seed funding for early-stage research where other grant funding is unavailable, and
Supporting specific research programs.
Funding Information
The maximum amount that can be requested is $100,000 per project or Early Career Grants up to a maximum of $40,000 per project.
Projects may be completed over 1 year or 2 years, with funding paid by quarterly installments over the period of funding.

Improving child protection and its effect;
Improving children’s mental health and the impact of developmental disorders;
Reducing childhood obesity and its impact;
Understanding the social determinants of childhood health and development.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications for community-based studies, clinical studies, and basic science projects in any area of research into children’s health, education, and welfare are considered.
Research must be led from South Australia, and national collaboration is encouraged.
