CFPs: Preserving Wildlife and Promoting Coexistence Initiative

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is accepting proposals for the Preserving Wildlife and Promoting Coexistence Initiative to focus on several species of wildlife found in rural or mountainous areas: wolves, deer, wild boars, chamois, mouflons, ibex, foxes, mustelids, bats, rodents, and avifauna.
Its aim is to bring out innovative and concrete proposals for improving the relationship between wildlife and human activities: agriculture, tourism, hunting, nature sports, and forest management.
For example:
- Adaptation of agricultural practices in cohabitation with wildlife
- Actions on the compatibility of nature sports and wildlife
- Development of communication tools for agrotourism that promotes wildlife
- Study and monitoring of wildlife populations
- School and/or general public events, meetings with rural stakeholders
Funding Information
- Two levels of financial support are possible depending on the country:
- Projects for a maximum funding of €10,000 and a maximum budget of €50,000
- Project duration 2 years maximum
- Projects for funding ranging from €50,000 to €70,000 and a maximum budget of €300,000
- Project duration 3 years maximum
- Projects for a maximum funding of €10,000 and a maximum budget of €50,000
Eligibility Criteria
- The steering committee will select projects that meet several criteria:
- Projects must clearly benefit peaceful cohabitation between humans and wildlife;
- Projects must concern the animal species;
- Projects must be located in the South-PACA region;
- Projects must have a minimum self-financing of 20%.
- Projects must not result in undermining the rules for the preservation of wildlife.
