CFAs: CATAL1.5°T4 West Africa Pre-Acceleration Program (2nd Cohort)

The program is designed to help entrepreneurs develop their climate solutions from prototype to market-ready products, accelerating their journey toward real-world impact.

Aims

• By combining technical assistance with financial support, the initiative aims to build a pipeline of high-potential ventures capable of attracting venture capital and achieving megaton-scale CO₂ emission reductions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Eligible applicants must:
  • Be a climate venture or valid project based in Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, or Togo
  • Have fewer than 50 employees and generate less than USD 3 million in annual revenue
  • Offer solutions that reduce CO₂ emissions in one of the following sectors:
    • Energy access & power generation
    • Forestry & land use
    • Buildings, cities, industries and appliances
    • Low-emission transport
  • Serve the public interest in line with GIZ guidelines (eg, environment, climate, job creation, poverty reduction)
