CARE is seeking a Mano River Focal Point Specialist that will will provides key programmatic, technical and resource mobilization support for sexual, reproductive and maternal health programs for the realization of Sahel/Mano River Program Strategy goals and our Global SRMH & Rights program strategy. Specifically, this position will be the key technical advisor for selected geographies in the Sahel/Mano River+ sub region and our work in integrated SRMH programming (integration may include HIV, immunization, food and nutrition, climate change). Responsibilities will include working closely with select countries in the sub region, as well as region units and CARE Member Partners, to support quality program design, implementation, and evaluation and scale up of core approaches and models. This will require knowledge of, and experience with, health systems in low resource settings in the Sahel/Mano River+ sub region, quality improvement, social accountability and participatory learning approaches, community-based research and evaluation, and expertise in sexual, reproductive and maternal health programming. In addition to insuring program quality through support for design and implementation, the incumbent will be responsible for representing programs to key donors and partners, identifying opportunities for partnership and funding, and supporting development of new proposals for funding, including collaborating on program design and writing of technical proposals and concept notes.
