Call for Proposals: Syria-Related Canada Fund For Local Initiatives
Deadline: 28 June 2018
The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) of the Embassy of Canada has announced a call for proposals for its Syria programme. The CFLI funds small but visible, results-oriented projects which are proposed and implemented by officially registered local NGOs and other grassroots organizations in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan.
CFLI is a responsive, flexible program. This enables Canada to respond to local needs by working at the community level. Equally important, the CFLI serves to empower civil society and local communities around the world.
Projects must address the identified needs of local communities and must fall within one of the 2018-2019 CFLI priorities:
- Empowering women and girls, and promoting gender equality; and,
- Youth Empowerment.
The CFLI will provide support to small scale, high impact projects within a budget range of up to a maximum of CAD $50,000.
- Registered local non-governmental, community and not-for-profit organizations;
- Local academic institutions working on local projects.
- Projects located in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey.
