Early Grant Information for NGOs

The programme offers seminars and workshops to provide orientational and applied knowledge on the topic of local development, as well as to assist its participants in developing cross-sectoral competences and to foster international networking. Actors from various fields (i.a. education, human rights, culture, media, academia) are invited to apply, introducing a project idea for cross-sectoral transnational cooperation, that they want to develop for subsequent implementation after the programme.

A special focus of Ukraine Calling concerns the questions about the way societal challenges can be tackled better by projects involving actors from different sectors (i.e. civil society, culture, city administrations): What are success factors for cross-sectoral collaborations? How to bring differing expectations and logics together to serve a common goal?

The diverse programme of workshops and seminars will help its participants to advance competences in the fields of project development and fundraising. Upon completion of the programme, participating organisations will be well-equipped with knowledge, skills and a network that will help them to implement their project ideas with international partners. It goes without saying, that the Ukraine Calling team will support its alumni and alumnae with the final execution of the project also in the following year.

Benefits

The costs for the events, workshops, accommodation, catering during the seminars and travels to Frankfurt (Oder) and Kyïv will be covered by the organizers. Furthermore, participants are supported with a kick-off grant (up to 400 €) to identify and visit potential collaboration partners abroad and thus engage in a firsthand exchange of professional experience or spend it to cover expenses necessary for getting the project started.
