Material Specialist (IIMS / OTD / Master Data Quality / JDE / Supply Chain) – DRC

Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Material Specialist who will effectively manage the Company’s Material Masters Data Quality and make it more reliable, accessible and reusable by improving completeness, accuracy, conformity and consistency in accordance with OTD (Open Technical Dictionary) methodology. This role ensures that all descriptions are Structured, Consistent and Accurate. In addition to this Important function of Procurement Chain Supply, the position acts as a primary point of contact to assert and approve the exactness and correctness of the items on MRF’s in comparison to the product’s cross reference in the Material Data Masters of the ERP (JDE).
Responsibilities:
Cross reference part numbers added to New unprinted PCs
Review and process purchase requisitions (PRs) and create / catalog new items.
Verification of part numbers on new purchase orders, before printing.
Technical / quality inspection of all items delivered to the store.
Cleaning of items database catalogue: Item descriptions and classification | Duplicate Items | OEM Part Numbers | Obsolete Items | French Descriptions | Additional Classification
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
Any Business Related/Library Qualifications: Engineering, Business & Information Technology Studies,
Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
Cataloguing software knowledge (PILOG, JDE)
Working Proficiency in French and English
ERP knowledge (ORBFUSION, E-WORKFLOW)
Database knowledge (ACCPAC, SAGE, SUNSYSTEM)
5 Years Warehousing experience
Previous experience with integrated Information Management Systems (IIMS)
