Job Description:

Our client is a pan-African Development Financial Institution with a focus on infrastructure investment and they are currently seeking a Treasury Analyst to support the Treasury Group within their Financial Services team in Nigeria.

Responsibilities:

liaisons with both internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to ensure that the Treasury team delivers on all its financial and non-financial KPIs.

Accurately book all consummated transactions on the front-office system

Develop and maintain Treasury’s records in compliance with both internal and external audit requirements

On-board new counterparties, relationship banks and the oversee the KYC process/documentation end to end.

Support the team in the negotiation of standard agreements (such as facility agreements, ISDA/CSAs, GMRAs) with eligible lenders and counterparties.

Ensure compliance with all loan and bond reporting covenants.

Prepare transaction documentation for internal (investment and board committees) approval.

Design, maintain and improve financial models to evaluate transactions.

Develop, structure, and execute transactions involving derivatives, structured credit and local currency financing solutions for clients/projects.

Establish and maintain excellent client relationships to provide responsive client service and enhance new business opportunities.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including international investment banks, local banks, capital market firms and investors.

Conduct industry and market research to assist with business development efforts.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant discipline.

A relevant professional certification (CFA, ACA, FRM, ACI, CPA, CTP)

3 years of relevant financial markets work experience

Experienced in foreign exchange, money market securities, fixed income securities (including derivatives), commodities, and structured finance (credit guarantees, structured debt funds and similar structures)

Previous experience working within a DFI, commercial bank, investment bank or other capital-markets focused entity
