Specialist Artisan – Mechanical & Fitting (Maintenance / Underground / Expatriate / Trade Test) – Central Africa Reference Number: 040 2408 RR Job Description:Mechanical Artisan Specialist will ensure the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment in its area of responsibility in accordance with Company standards. Perform inspections and tests of all lifting installations, as required by law. Responsibilities:Up-to-date and accurate checklists and inspections.Maintenance of machinery and equipment.Responsible for the appropriate discipline of subordinates.Stop and correct any unsafe activity, practice, or machinery.Report any violation of mining regulations, codes of practice, directives, permissions, exemptions, etc.Report any risky behavior and any incident or accident.Bidirectional and open communication with subordinates and the immediate superior.Support, coaching and participation in the training and development of subordinates.Interacting with other departments. Report any defect and anomaly to the supervisor / superiorExperience with the most recent lifting installations as well as safety and brake control systems.Knowledge of non-destructive test procedures for winch components; electromagnetic cable testing; and dynamic testing of lifting devices.  Requirements: Qualification and SkillCertificate of competence of industrial mechanic (mechanics) / Trade Tested Mechanical Artisan10 years’ experience in: winches, pumps, well maintenance, repairs, well sinking.Qualifications in mechanical engineering / (National Diploma or Degree)Underground operational and maintenance experienceAutonomous and passionateProblem solving skillsExcellent communication and reporting skillsTime management and prioritization / scheduling skillsExcellent communication and reporting skillsSpecific skills in equipment and machinery.Previous expatriate experience preferred. Benefits and Contractual information:Competitive salary packageFavorable roster schedule (6/2) If you wish to apply for the position, please send your CV to Ruan Roodt at rroodt@camining.com
