Junior Trade Accountant (URGENT / Agriculture) – Stellenbosch

A global company in in the commodities trading space is currently seeking a Trade Accountant. This is a very hands-on, high visibility role and will require intensive commitment.
Responsibilities:
Review, Analise & Reconcile Storage, Warehousing/Handling Accounts
Daily Storage and Handling Accrual Calculations
Posting of Monthly Journals
Prepare supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
Prepare Commercial Reports
Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Daily Broker MTM reconciliation
Review, Analise & Reconcile Brokers Accounts
Posting of Monthly Journals
Prepare supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
Prepare Commercial Reports
Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Ensuring accurate data interface from Front End Trading System to Accounting System
Problem Resolution
Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Execute usual accounting functions, which include operating the general ledger system and month-end close responsibilities
Preparation for internal and external audits
Any ad-hoc duties that may arise from time-to-time
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
Relevant Bachelor’s degree
2+ years relevant experience
Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
