Job Description:

The IT System Specialist is responsible for managing all resources required to ensure the proper functioning of I.T. systems and services; The IT System Specialist analyses, implements, exploits and manages the company’s software, telecommunications, networks and I.T. systems, at all stages of life cycle; The IT System Specialist is also responsible for designing, producing and implementing tests for I.T. systems.

Responsibilities:

Plan, organise, lead, control and assess the various activities related to I.T. systems and data processing;

Manage work teams tasked with ensuring the quality and proper functioning of computer/I.T. systems, software, telecommunications and networks;

Train team members / ensure skills transfer;

Develop rules and procedures to ensure proper implementation of computer systems;

Diagnose problems and develop solutions for recurring issues requiring special attention;

Ensure software/data backups and security;

Develop strategies for I.T. system development and feasibility studies;

Define standards / ensure quality control and compliance with set standards

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

Degree in computer engineering (systems/network), or 2-4 years’ experience in a similar position;

Ability to define development strategies for I.T. and communications;

Ability to conduct feasibility studies;

Good knowledge of software development;

Ability to provide support to users and to solve computer/I.T.-related problems;

Good knowledge of and ability to apply network architecture standards;

Good knowledge of quality assurance, risk and security management, continuous improvement and operations management;

Ability to define, monitor and ensure compliance with standards;

Must be fluent in English, a strong command of French is highly beneficial

Full working competency in Microsoft Word, and ideally good knowledge of other MS Office applications;

Absolute honesty, integrity and confidentiality;

Excellent capacity for team work, interpersonal intelligence, organisational skills, initiative and resourcefulness;

Reliability, ability to work under pressure with the same level of quality, including in crisis-management situations;

Ability to work in a professional, multicultural environment

Benefits and Contractual information:

12-month fixed term with option of renewal

FIFO expat position with rotation depending on location of candidate

Available to work late or on weekends, as required / in the case of an urgent need
