Job Description: Our client, an Earthmoving Equipment provider is looking for a Head of Service & Parts to join their operation in Central Africa. The Head of Service & Parts will be responsible for developing after-sales products and services in his sector. He will be also responsible for the members of the technical team (after-sales service) as a whole.
Responsibilities:
Providing a service of technical excellence: ensuring customer satisfaction regarding the quality and speed of response required from the technical service
Leading the technical team with the support of Technical Managers in order to provide a quality service to customers, coordinating the work of the Technicians and Representatives and deciding on the suitability of the technical operations to be carried out.
Ensuring the adequacy of human and financial resources to be deployed in order to support equipment repair and maintenance operations
Establishing KPIs to ensure the profitability of servicing and spare parts provision throughout the country.
Setting up service contracts to support customers
Monitoring and guiding after-sales inspectors in the development of after-sales.
Monitoring the training plan of employees
Managing and leading the training, logistics and after-sales service.
Ensuring compliance by suppliers with the policy and general terms (warranties, modification programmes) imposed by the manufacturers and the dissemination of general technical information within the African companies.
Managing the inventory of spare parts (turnover and margins)
Requirements: Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in an equivalent position
Experience within other dealerships
Proficiency in MS Office and use of manufacturers’ software
Experience in managing an after-sales service through a network
Very good knowledge of mining and construction equipment, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, boilers
General knowledge of Africa and the African mining industry
