Job Description:
A mining client has a vacancy for a Financial Accountant whose main purpose is monthly reporting and financial modelling. This role reports directly into the Finance & Admin Manager.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of month end results
Financial Control
Monthly Management Accounts
Budgeting and Forecasting
Cost Centre Management and Cost Control
Oversee all tax related matters
Oversee yearend audit
Compile AFS
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
Matric
BCom Degree
Completed articles
At least 3-5 years’ experience in Financial Accountant role in a mining environment, with supervisory experience
Must be fully proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel financial models) and Sage Evolution
Core skills: good communication at all levels; strong planning and organizational; good problem solving; good attention to detail; ability to work under pressure; strong interpersonal skills

Must be able to work overtime at short notice
