The Bureau of International Narcotics-Law Enforcement is requesting applications for Combat Wildlife Trafficking in Central Asia to improve Central Asia’s will and capacity to investigate, arrest, prosecute, convict, and sentence the perpetrators of wildlife crime, in accordance with international best practices and human rights standards.

Research Grants of up to C$1 million per Women’s Empowerment Projects

The goal of this program is to improve Central Asia’s will and capacity to investigate, arrest, prosecute, convict, and sentence to the fullest extent of the law the perpetrators of wildlife crime.
To achieve this goal, INL seeks to fund programs that will:
Increase the interdiction of illicit trade;
Build investigative and enforcement functions;
Enhance prosecutorial and judicial capacity; and/or
Develop cross-border regional cooperation.
Project Objectives

INL will prioritize proposals for programs that:

are unique and groundbreaking;
include anti-corruption activities;
combat the criminal organizations that perpetrate wildlife crime.

Applicants must also meet the following requirements to be eligible to apply to this NOFO:
Demonstrate current country registration in every country in which the applicant proposes to conduct activities, as applicable.
