Build Back Better (BBB) Program in Namibia

The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform (MAWLR) – in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia (EIF), as a Responsible Party—launched the Urban Agriculture concept- Build Back Better (BBB) Program with financial support from the Japanese Government.

This initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Windhoek Municipality (Khomas Region), Swakopmund Municipality (Erongo Region), Rundu Town Council (Kavango East Region) and the Daweb Constituency (Maltahohe) of the Hardap Region.

The EIF hereby invites grant proposals/applications from individuals and groups/entities (formally registered groups, non-registered groups, women’s groups, youth groups) as well as people living with disabilities who reside within the proclaimed boundaries of the above mentioned local and regional authorities.

Eligibility Criteria
This facility is ring-fenced exclusively for the residents of the above-stated local and regional authority areas; and
Eligible activities are limited to horticulture, backyard gardening, poultry production, fodder production, agroforestry, orchards , vermicomposting, smart agricultural concepts (hydroponics/aquaponics etc.)
